Hello!  Here are recordings of our elementary choir song, as well as 2 verses from "La Marimorena."

Next Family Mass is on 11/20-- Here are the Hymns!

Family mass in November is on Sunday, the 20th at 11:30 in St. Sylvester Church.  All school choir members and any children who attend St. Sylvester and would like to are invited to sing!  Here is a list of hymns we will be singing.  They relate to the fact that the 20th is The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe.  There are links to recordings of these songs and lyrics listed here, too.  Please practice a bit before 11/20.  Thank you!

For Glee Club 2016

Hey, Glee Clubbers!

Our first meeting was great!  I am very excited for this session of Glee.  I think we will sing a ton of songs-- some you are familiar with and some older ones I'd like to share with you.  They will all be fun, I know it!

Please prepare yourself for next Monday by studying your lyrics of the 4 songs we went over today.  Please do not lose your lyrics.  We will have folders soon so that it will be even easier to keep track of things.  Here are some YouTube recordings of our latest songs.  If you ever find that a video has a lyric or two that is different from ours, still go along with ours.
REMEMBER:  Think about what you are singing.  Get into it and have fun!


"Tom's Diner" (Suzanne Vega)*** We will be splitting these lyrics up and doing some backup parts, vocal percussion, claps and snaps.  This will be a cappella. :)

"Hit the Road Jack" (Ray Charles)*** We will be diving into at least two groups for this.

"Rather Be" (Clean Bandit featuring Jess Glynne)- We will have 1 or 2 people sing the high part at the end while all else are singing the chorus.  We will sing this with the karaoke version eventually.

Preschool is Preparing for Their Christmas Concert!

Work on Getting a Good Sound on the Recorder?-- Yes, please!

Hi there, students.  We all know that it can be tough to get a sound we really like out of the recorder.  I was actually just trying to make a recording of my playing and decided I could really use some practice getting a good sound myself.  Here is a video I found that is a great refresher for the things we have learned.  I especially like how she explains the kind of "warm" air we should be using to play.
